BMW & MINI FRM Footwell Module Repair

When the FRM3 dies on a BMW or MINI, half the car stops working — but you don't need a virgin module from the dealer. We recover the EEPROM and restore the original.

The FRM3 stores its boot loader in an EEPROM that gets corrupted when battery voltage dips during coding, a jump start, or a weak battery. Once corrupted, the module is locked and BMW's official fix is a new VIN-coded unit (~$900–$1,400 plus programming).

We recover the EEPROM, rewrite the boot loader, and repair any failed driver ICs — preserving your original VIN, mileage, and personalization data.

FAQ

Will I keep my original VIN coding?

Yes — the entire reason to repair the FRM3 instead of replacing it is that all coding, mileage, and personalization stay with the original unit.

How long does FRM repair take?
