Corvette C6 & Cadillac XLR RCDLR repair
The Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) is part of your vehicle’s keyless-entry system. No Fob Detected, intermittent keyless entry or a module that temporarily works after tapping can point to an internal fault. TMW Repairs repairs your original module for $299—not a replacement part for sale. No programming is needed when your repaired original is reinstalled in the same vehicle.

RCDLR symptoms: No Fob Detected and passive-entry problems
- • No Fob Detected message despite a known-good key fob
- • Passive entry or normal starting fails, but the car starts with the fob in the designated instrument-panel pocket
- • Intermittent remote lock or unlock operation after fob batteries and vehicle power have been checked
- • Receiver temporarily starts working after tapping the housing; this is an intermittent-fault symptom, not a permanent fix
- • A receiver fault identified by a technician using the vehicle’s service information
Check the key, power and wiring before condemning the receiver
GM bulletin PIC5961 describes a specific Corvette fault pattern involving an internal RCDLR transistor: passive entry and normal starting fail, while starting with the fob in the instrument-panel pocket still works. That pattern is a diagnostic clue, not proof that every No Fob Detected message means a bad receiver.
Weak fob batteries, a discharged vehicle battery, damaged wiring, antenna faults or incorrect setup can produce overlapping symptoms. Have a qualified technician confirm the receiver is faulty before removing it or paying for a module repair.
No programming is needed for this repair because we repair your original receiver and preserve its existing programming and key pairing for the same vehicle. This is not a donor-module swap, cloning service or replacement-programming service. GM replacement-module setup instructions apply to replacement receivers, not this original-part repair.
If tapping temporarily restores operation, tell us before shipping. It may indicate an intermittent internal connection or a nearby connector/wiring fault. Tapping is not a repair and does not establish the diagnosis; do not hit or open the unit.
Corvette, Cadillac XLR and OEM part-number checks
- • Chevrolet Corvette C6, 2005–2013: confirm the exact receiver label and service eligibility before ordering. A year range is not a blanket interchange guarantee.
- • Select 2005–2007 Corvette and 2006–2007 Cadillac XLR applications: catalog references include 10372535, 15266677, 15815693, 25786622 and 25940664.
- • Select 2008–2009 Corvette and Cadillac XLR applications: catalog references include 25938511, 25821056 and 25882862. The pictured receiver is 25938511.
- • Cadillac XLR is the other vehicle application documented in the cited catalogs. Exact vehicle, part number and market must be verified; the listed number groups are not automatically interchangeable.
- • Other GM vehicles or unlisted part numbers: send a label photo and vehicle details for review. Similar-looking RCDLR modules are not necessarily the same. C7/C8 Corvette coverage is not claimed.

How the mail-in service works
- Select the $299 listing for your exact model and year. Send a label photo first if your part number is unlisted or eligibility is uncertain.
- Order the repair and follow our shipping instructions. Send your original RCDLR only—not a donor module or key fobs unless we specifically request them.
- We inspect your receiver, repair the identified internal fault where possible and bench-test the repaired unit.
- Reinstall your repaired original receiver in the same vehicle. No programming is needed because its original programming and key pairing are preserved.
Before you ship it
- • Include your order number, email, vehicle details and diagnostic notes. A phone number is optional but encouraged.
- • Protect connectors with cushioning and use a sturdy box with tracked shipping.
- • Ask before shipping a burned, heavily corroded, modified or previously opened module.
- • Repair only; no module is sold or supplied. No cloning or replacement programming is included.
- • 1-year limited warranty on the repair. If your module can't be repaired, we return it to you and you pay a flat $20 return shipping.

Questions buyers ask before sending it in
What does RCDLR stand for?
Remote Control Door Lock Receiver. It is a receiver used in the vehicle’s keyless-entry system, not the door latch or a replacement key fob.
Does No Fob Detected mean my Corvette RCDLR is bad?
Not necessarily. Check the fob battery, vehicle battery, wiring and antennas first. GM documents a receiver fault pattern where normal starting fails but the car starts with the fob in the instrument-panel pocket. Diagnosis is needed before repair.
What other vehicles use these receivers?
Select Cadillac XLR applications are documented alongside Corvette C6 applications in the cited parts catalogs. Exact part numbers and vehicle application must match. We do not claim all GM keyless-entry receivers interchange.
Is this a module for sale or a cloning service?
Neither. This is repair of your own original RCDLR. You send it in and receive the same module back. No donor cloning or replacement-module programming is offered.
Will it need programming after repair?
No. We repair your original RCDLR and retain its existing programming and key pairing. Reinstall it in the same vehicle; no replacement-module programming is needed. This does not apply to a donor or replacement receiver.
Why does my RCDLR work after tapping it?
Temporary operation after tapping can indicate an intermittent internal connection or nearby wiring/connector problem. It is a symptom, not a fix or proof of module failure. Tell us about it and have the fault diagnosed; do not hit the module.
How much does RCDLR repair cost?
The original-module repair is $299, with a 1-year limited repair warranty. Choose the listing for your model and year. Shipping and optional extras are separate. No cloning or replacement programming is included.
What if my receiver cannot be repaired?
If your module can't be repaired, we return it to you and you pay a flat $20 return shipping.
